Freddie Gibbs and Mike Dean have a track called “Sellin Dope” that’s featured on Grand Theft Auto V, which is out now for PS4 and XBOX One. Mr. Gibbs sounds like he’s rapping on point as usual, and the beat by Mike Dean sounds perfect for endless hours of playing video games. It’s nice to know that if I actually went back to playing video games, I wouldn’t have to worry about playing background music from my stereo.
Mass Appeal Records signee, Boldy James, teams up with fellow ConCreature, Peechie Green, for a track called “50 Foot Razor Blade.” The mastermind behind the beat on this is none other than La Musica de Harry Fraud. This collaboration is definitely something that should be revisited in the future. Boldy’s upcoming Trapper’s Alley 2 is eyeing an early 2015 release date.
If you haven’t picked up Young Scooter’s 80s Baby mixtape yet, you’re missing out on some quality trap tracks. One of the stand out songs from this project called “Bag it Up” featuring Casino and Future just got the visual treatment.
If you’ve been living under a rock, G-Unit’s been back minus Game and plus Trick Trick. Young Buck drops a track called “Bring My Bottles” featuring two of his partners from the Unit, 50 Cent and Tony Yayo. The track sounds like Swiff D used some sounds from Cardiak’s Flatline Kits.
Project Pat makes another track that’s dedicated to making girls flex their gluteal muscles called “Twerk It” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Wiz Khalifa, and Wale. The Track will be featured on Pat’s upcoming project, Cheez N Dope 3.
Ty Dolla $ign unveils the first single, “Stand For,” off of his upcoming album Free TC. The Taylor Gang affiliate’s track is produced by Diplo and DJ Dahi. This track is a heartfelt one, which strays away from the normal club hits we’re accustomed to hearing from Ty. The message here is that he hasn’t forgotten what he’s all about. “Stand For” proves that not only can he make hits, but he can do so without having to rely on a feature from another rapper. If you can’t wait for Free TC, cop his latest mixtape, $ign Language, to hold you over until the album finally drops.
Atlanta’s latest rising star, Escoe, links up with two down south rap legends, 8ball & MJG, on the track called “Candy Drippin.” The Drumma Boy-produced single will be featured on Escoe’s upcoming EP, Straight to 7, dropping in early 2015.
